At Great Lakes Empowered Scholars, we believe every Oakridge student deserves the opportunity to succeed beyond high school.

Students apply for our scholarships, and the mentorship, networking, career planning, and personal development support below begins after a student wins.

WHAT OUR SCHOLARS RECEIVE

Mentorship from the Founders

Our scholars get one-on-one guidance from the founders themselves, Oakridge alumni who walked the same halls and went on to college and careers. Winners gain mentors who have been exactly where they are.

Networking

Winning opens doors. Scholars join a growing community of GLESF recipients, alumni, and supporters, connections that can lead to internships, opportunities, and lifelong relationships.

Financial Support

Each scholarship awards $2,500 toward post-secondary education, real financial support that helps our winners take the next step after graduation.

Career Planning

After the award, we work with our scholars to explore career paths, build professional skills, and plan for life after college.

Personal Development

From confidence to leadership, we help our scholars keep growing, personally and professionally, long after the check is presented.
